the distance covered by Car A:

[tex]ΔS = v \times t[/tex]

[tex]ΔS = 20 \times 120[/tex]

[tex]ΔS = 2400 \: m[/tex]

the distance covered by Car B:

[tex]ΔS = v \times t[/tex]

[tex]ΔS = 15 \times 120[/tex]

[tex]ΔS = 1800 \: m[/tex]

The distance between them:

They are moving in opposite directions, so:

[tex]S = S1 + S2[/tex]

[tex]S = 2400 + 1800[/tex]

[tex]S = 4200 \: m[/tex]
